Actors Portray Daft Punk In French House Feature Film

There’s a new film about French house music premiering in September, and we finally have our first glimpse of the actors playing arguably the most influential duo in that genre’s history: Daft Punk.

Arnaud Azoulay and Vincent Lacoste (pictured above, left and above, right) will play Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter respectively in the film Eden. Directed by Mia Hansen-Løve, Eden will follow the rise of French electronic music throughout the ’90s. The film is described as a “largely autobiographical” narrative from the perspective of Paul (played by Félix de Givry), who is based off the director’s brother Sven Løve, a prominent French DJ in the early ’90s. Paul and his friend go on to form a duo called Cheers as they work their way through the French touch scene, with the film attempting to recreate some of the most famous parties and clubs from that era.

Sven Løve recently told French magazine Tsugi that Daft Punk will be providing three tracks for the film. According to Mia Hansen-Løve, the music rights alone cost her over half a million euros, but were necessary for the nightclub and big crowd scenes.

Eden is set to premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 4-14. The film will also feature stars like Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha), Brady Corbet (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and Golshifteh Farahani (Body of Lies).

But how does that make you feel? || 1/?

With the bass drum mimicking an average human resting heartbeat, it’s no wonder this song creates an instant sense of calmness and safety. Listening to this song sometimes helps to bring down anxiety levels.

Thomas is an obsessive. When he has a shirt he likes he has it duplicated. He has dozens of the same thing, it’s more that than being a very dirty person, he is a perfectionist.

Okay, so I may have become obsessed with this routine over the past week and you’ll see why. ‘Something About Us’ is beautiful and amazing and perfect and should be danced on a stage filled with gold and treasures.
